This is not a real Blender test, it’s just about using the computer while rendering with Blender.
As you can see in the attachment, Blender takes all the CPU for the render. Eventually, the CPU’s temperature raises and reaches up to 100 degrees ! When using Blender 2.5 on a PC, I had to download a processes manager to give the Blender a lower priority for the CPU.
The problem is that now, the computer (with Mac OS X 10.5.8) is practically unusable and it was not the case with Blender 2.49.
Of course it’s not a real problem now, I just wanted to show you the process during a render
