Quick question about gus tutorial-materials settings

Hey, I just began the gus the gingerbread man tutorial for the first time (yes, I skipped over it before…), mostly to begin learning about blender’s character animation system, and I ran into something a little surprising during the modeling/materials stage. I noticed that after I had set the map-to settings on the grain material (noise texture) for one object, if I assigned the same material to another object, the default blender map-to settings would be present. Is there an easy way to keep the map-to settings the same across multiple objects without having to go and reset them manually, every time I want to re-apply them to another object?

If you assign an existing material from the Material Datablock Menu (MA:) it should, actually it will come with all the original materials settings.
In other words Wood is Wood on both objects not Wood on one and Wood.001 on the other.

That is how I would think it would work, and going back now, it appears that is how it did in fact work. The same material did end up having two users when I looked back on it, which leaves me a lttle stumped… In any case, it is working as expected now, a change in to one instance affects the other-even on the map-to pannel. perhaps I was confused before. On a lighter note, gus is now happily jiggling… Yay!

Thanks for the help.
