Quick question - I hope

I have been going thru some tutorials on blender and enjoy learning this software. Hopefully over time I will become much more proficient.

Anyway, I would like to model something but because my knowledge is still limited I am not sure how to go about this.

I want to add text - not a problem - but then have a description that can be attached to it. I don’t want the description visible I just want it available for reference. How would I go about doing this? If this is possible I suppose I can do this for other objects as well?

Thanks.

You can add the description as another piece of text, then move that text to another layer with either the layer buttons on the 3d window header or by pressing ‘m’, then choosing a layer button. You can then hide/display the “description layer” whenever you want.

You can also “parent” the description text to the “display” text, so that it will “follow” the display text around if you move the display text. Select the “description” text, then shift select the “display” text, press CTR-P, ENTER (or LMB).

Wow! Great! Not sure I completly grasp all of that but I will figure it out! Thanks!

You could also switch to scripting mode and post any coments about your various meshes there. You can switch modes by selecting the mode from the drop-down menu at the top of the screen or by pressing Ctrl+left or right arrow, depending on your currently selected mode. Blender’s default mode is labeled SR:2-Model.

I just type it up in the text editor. Also, I’m glad that your post didn’t get buried in modeling a face, i need help fast modeling a face, i need help fastmodeling a face, i need help fastmodeling a face, i need help fastmodeling a face, i need help fastmodeling a face, i need help fastmodeling a face, i need help fastmodeling a face, i need help fastmodeling a face, i need help fastmodeling a face, i need help fast
