Quick Question

Hey, im trying to figure out another program called substance designer, it needs normal maps, i use blender and i know how to but and unwrap uvs and how to bake the normal maps, What I do not know, is how to add multipul UV’s to one uv map, what I mean is, I have a model that is sepetate from his cloths and his eyeballs, How do i bake the seperate objects onto one normal map? Do i have to ‘join’ all the objects together first? thank you.

Hey Guy,

After not receiving a response, I reread my post and realized that at a point I misspoke and perhaps my miss-wording was the reason I had not gotten any answers.

So, I decided to completely rewrite this question.

I have a character model that I created using Blender. When I created this model, I used separate mesh objects for the body, head, shirt, pants and eyeballs. I have learned how to mark seams and unwrap a model and how to bake those UV’s into Normal Maps. But I don’t understand how to make sure that all the UV’s or normal maps for each object, fit onto one sheet.

Is this not possible? Or must I ‘join’ all the object meshes into one object? or must i use separate uv and normal maps for each object? I am asking because Substance Designer appears to need all of the UV and Normal data applied to a single sheet in order to bake all of its maps. Any advice is appreciated!
