Quicksilver to Shape ???

Hi,

I am wondering, whether this is possible in Blender (and if yes…HOW?)

In one of the “Terminator” movies there was a robot, which morphed
itsself from a puddle of quicksilver to a robotic human.

Blender has shape keys, which can be used to form a sphere into
something different – but THAT complex shape.

Is this trick possible? :
1.) Basis Shape-key is taken from a “puddle of quicksilver” and the
2.) the final shape is taken from a DIFFERENT object but to
form the initial object (the puddle) – the “Terminator”-mesh…

Just a thought of blue smoke…

Any ideas?

The way I would do it…

Basis Key: You most complex shape.
Key 1: Puddle

Thing about puddles you can easily switch it with a different puddle.

So I would take my next complex shape… also make it Basis and key 1 puddle.

Then morph complex to puddle, and puddle to complex.

That transition between puddles… shouldn’t be hard…

Hi Calvin !

I fear, I dont understand completly…
For me it is unclear, how to shape-key one morph from two
different object into one…

Or am I “SYNTAX ERROR LINE 20: Out of scope error. Reboot!”

Keep blendering!
