any thoughts?

OK. You drew this in Blender.

OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!
Blender is just getting too good for words!

Would be cool for blender to actually replace/include even gimp in the future

i’ve added some more now,
now im using cs2 as i do not trust myself without the layers tool…(if blender has it tell me… XD )

anyway heres an update where i’ve added more shadows, corrected some veins, added some hairs and added the pinky fake sss look.

nice cactus.

It’s good, but the palm area could use more work. I don’t specifically mean palm, but the base rectangle of the hand (well, quad if nothing else, wider at the top than the base). The wrist in yours is both a.) Too large, and b.) Too close to the hand. If you pose your hand in the same position, imagine a quad shape. The line where your fingers meet the rest of you hand is the top, and the joint to the forearm is the bottom. If you imagine this quad shape, hands become extremely simple to draw in comparison to before the quad-shape. Well, for me at least. I’d do a paintover, but I lack my tablet currently.

A wicked resource for drawing hands in various positions.

thx for the feedback.

im sorry to tell you but that is how my wrist looks…
i hav a weird shape (i know) and also my hand is in a weird position as i have broken 2 fingers so hard to pose.
also it is partialy distorted for effect, remeber this is a “traditional” drawings section, and much as im sure all artists receive criticism/help i don not think all of picasso’s works are to proportion? yet they are still masterpieces?

thx anyway but.
if i try for a realistic hand ill take take the help on board.
although if im going for utmost realism i still feel charcaol and graphite are the best…
