Hello 
I’m constructing a new Blender workstation and am looking for advice on which video card to purchase. After extensive research I’m really leaning towards ATI’s cards, specifically towards something from the 5000 or 6000 series. This is mainly to avoid OpenGL problems with Nvidia’s new cards and also to have support for OpenCL (Cycles). I will be running Ubuntu probably on an Intel i7 2600K.
Does anyone own/use a high end ATI card on Ubuntu with Blender? Does it work well (fast?)
