Radiosity and bump mapping

Radiosity doesnt seem to take into account things like bump mapping, and when I add in a light to make the bump/spec show, it washes out the radiosity. How can I make it look bump mapped when using radiosity?

You could try rendering two different versions, one with radio and one without, and layering them together in photoshop or GIMP. that’s my best guess.

What I do is place an Empty at the center of the mesh and map the material of the mesh to to the empty. Saves alot of grief. In the material buttons where orco is, press Object and put the name of the empty (case sensitive), in the box next to it. Do this for every material in the scene, doesn’t work for UV textures, but then nothing does except what Modron says to do.

Edit: Reading what you said again, the radiosity still might negate the bumping a bit.

use regular lamps too

radiosity doesn’t care about normal (or texture of any kind for that matter) maps at all.
