Radiosity-lit models are invisible

I have several models I’ve done that I’ve tried to later go back and add radiosity lighting to it. The solver runs fine, and it produces an image that looks great in shaded preview mode, but it is 90% invisible when I go to render it. I am totally confused.

Anyone experience this who can help me? I can post the .blend files if needed. Using blender 2.25 - 2.27

Radiosity engine is far from perfection. It creates a single mesh with vertex colours, but if this mesh has more than 64k vertices it splits it in more meshes, but only the first is visible. Weird bug

Stefano

i had it create many meshes and still show in the render. i did try one that made 5 meshes and the fifth one did not show though.

Discussion in this topic helped me resolve a similar problem: https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7692

Hope it helps you too.

Okay, I figured out a way around it based on your posts. If I join all of the meshes before radiosity, it works just fine. Thanks!
