Radiosity question.

i try to light an indoor scene but i have some problem. I create a light that escape from a lamp toward the roof, but when i do the radiosity, the floor is not lightned…

I dont understand why, because i though that with radiosity, it simulated the light that bounce of different surface and i imagined that by lighting directly the roof, it would light undirectly the floor…

Could someone explain me if i have misunderstood what do radiosity?

radiosity doesn’t use lamps at all

only surfaces with an emit value [in the material], these [understandably] emit light, which radiosity bounces over things

also, your normals need to be pointing the correct direction

Yes, its not the problem, i use the word “lamp” but i mean a mesh with an emit value. And the normals point in the correct direction.
