It’s a beautiful design, but I don’t think the exhaust pipe fits it. The exhaust pipe looks good in itself, but it’s such a completely different design and it looks very old and battered compared to the new and shiny streamlined boat

What can I say? Great model, textures and lightning. But I agree with Jörzi about exhaust pipe. Everything looks so new, except exhaust pipe so it looks weird, and not believable. This makes no sense for me.

The exhaust pipe has the same age that the boat, it was just made the way it looks now when it was new, now, a few years after being made is just dirty from fuel combustion gases
Makes all the sense to me, but I full understand that makes no sense to everyone else

Well, First of all, i honestly dont get it. Why would you make a weird concept like this to use in middleground scenes? A normal boat would be better.
There is so much of the boat that seems to lack function. Such as the big beam in the middle of the boat, why are the steering levelers in the back and not in the front? It looks kinda modern too so why are there rowingboat seats instead of chairs?
I would also like to change the paddles to not be so square, give them just a bit of shape. And add some overall detail. But good job on the safety ring and the exhaustpipe! I would leave that as is.
Apart from the modeling: the render and the textures are truly fantastic and I really like the mood of the picture!
Well… It’s a fantasy movie that has this kind of stile It’s not supposed to be real, just look cool and fantasyhish. Take a look on the movie blog to see some of the other stuff already made. It will be seen from only a couple of meters away and needed to have personality. The big beam in the middle is the transmission (which is big and clunky) and the driver seat is on the back were are the controllers :)… they didn’t invented real seats on that world nor helices btw
