Rain?

Any tutorials or advice on how to do rain so it looks like this?

try using particles and change the drawmode from point to line, could look really nice wth a little post pro, downside is that its a lot more hardware intense, but also gives a more accurate depth

Cool idea with the nodes, but I though it would be cool to be looking up with the rain coming down. Maybe water drops on the camera? How would I do that?

I was thinking of using particles but how would i get it to look like rain and not just one long line. And I second JESUSFRK!4’s question.
