Rain

Started this the other day as an attempt to get better at modelling plants. I’m still working on it, so any critique/feedback would be greatly appreciated

Blender/Cycles used for scene composition and rendering, ngPlant used for plant modelling.

Great job on the vegetation. However, I think the scale of the rain is too big. Did you use an HDRI to light the scene? Looks very good for a rainy day atmosphere.

I’m agree with Joel. I think you’d be better off using the “Line” object in the particle system settings. The iOR of water is 1.34 (just sayin’).

The vegetation is very nice, how’d you do it?

The rain is too big for me. The grass need some realistic textures.

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll have a play around with the rain and grass  Another issue I think is that the scene has no story or emotion, something I also need to think about.

Just a hair particle system which randomly distributes the plant models I made in ngPlant around the scene. For the materials I just used a combination of diffuse, translucent and glossy materials to give an organic look.
