Yep it’s still the subaru, changed the model a lot. Thought of a scene to put it in. Now I really need to get down to texturing this thing and building an environment.

Interesting smoke effect, but I think you should work on your model and focus on its overall propotions. Details like doors and windows can be added later as long as the startingpoint is good.
That said, I think it will get good, just dont focus on detailing until you have its basic shape chiselled. Also, you should consider doing the detailing as a bumpmap. UV map it with its approperiate colouring and markings, then use the same basis to draw a bumpmap for the outline of the doors and such.
Keep it up!
Your wheels are a little too rounded. They look squishy to me. I agree with the idea that you should concentrate on the modeling instead of on the “posing” or the effects. I think you may have overexaggerated the seams around the doors and windows, but then again its hard to tell because you haven’t done any texturing. Try just adding a few different colored materials to the individual pieces as a test to see if looks realistic or not. Currently I’m guessing you’ll find you need to tone down some of the seams, as I mentioned. Keep up the hard work.
…but try to made all mysterious details afrer 2nd or 3rd conversion base mesh with subsurf to mesh [alt+c] and you should get such effect - look at my current wip.

Sor Blendermax. Now you are promoting me . Delete link from your quote.!!!
And. Second. I don’t need autopromotion and my intention was to pay attention at right way of modeling details at each stage of work!
So. :<
As i see you read “car modeling tutorial” with Peugeot 206. There’s very primitive example of good and fast modeling of low poly/low detail car. Try to start again from the base level stage and try do all emossed surfaces and inset corners after 2nd onversion of subsurf to mesh. Attention . To avoid getting to round corners at each step of conversion sub to mesn place your meshes to the right position. And after 2nd convertion make 3rd step with setting it smooth.
It’s my sugestion. At the end. All proportions should be corected at first step or at bounding box mode.
It’s very nice for start, but don’t read more such tutorials . You should do it yourself!I think it would be better. Scene conception “car in slide” is very good!

One more thing. How did you your “motion” effect - by moving cammera or moving car ?
Moving car + and camera, didn’t quite turn out as i liked
