I do alot of random projects, and am constantly switching from one to the next, and back again until they are all ultimately finished. I do this to improve my skills and to make sure the older models/projects are always up to date with my current skill level. So instead of making a new thread for every thing I do, I’ll just put them all in one place.
My latest is an old one I started a few years back but never completely finished, when I went back to it this week, as usual by it being an older project, it was not a refined as my more recent stuff. But after some tweeking I have it to pretty much where I want it.
These are a couple years old, and I never really finished them. I think I’ll get back to them in about a week or so though. Comments, suggestions, please?
Alright people, I don’t know where this new project is going… but I’m going to be making quite a few more animation tests involving my Ugly Yellow Ship, the Citadel, the Stiletto, Hyperion, and a few of the mechs that I have. This was just a timing and composite test though.
Does this look convincing. I’m making a bunch of construction vehicles based on several real world designs. In other words I’m not trying to directly copy a design that’s already in existance. Feedback needed.
The excavator is very nice indeed, i like very much how you made those hose , you kept the realism to the limit ,
but i see some technical issues (if i can call them like that) ,the hose on the rams are placed one on the top the other on the bottom,
so the oil can flow both ways , yours are missing on the top 2 rams and on the single ram are placed opposite one to the other…
The hoses coming from the body to the dipper are about 6 + 2 maybe if the model support AUX tools.
And why two exhaust ?
And so far the (lol i forgot how those parts are called in english) the chain on the tires :spin:, is the best one , keep it black.
Okay niebieski, I’ll try to adjust the hoses accordingly the next time I update the model; and as for the two cylinders on the top of the boom, they are joined, so it is as if they are one piston. And the two exhaust pipes is so that the vehicle can breath better. Kind of like dual exhaust on a muscle car. Thanx again.
