Rare sold to Microsoft ?

It looks like Rare (the company that made Goldeneye, DK Country, DKR and Conkers Bad fur day amongst many others) has been sold to Microsoft (not yet official although Nintendo announced they have sold their 49% share) to make XBox games.

Apparently the price is about $300-400 million. I think Nintendo are laughing all the way to the proverbial bank, since Rare have been off form since the core goldeneye team left to form free radical (who made timesplitters on ps2).

Anyone care?

I do. I just bought an xbox. And I heard that it was confirmed last week, I dunno.

I don’t think that they should laugh about it!!! I don’t really know the case, but I don’t think that uncle Bill Gates is that stupid to buy a dead company…

And even if Rare is so, I think they have all the means to revive it again…

I suppose we will have to expect some surprises from Ms…

skontar.

i agree with skontar. maybe they are up to something! LOL
