Ratchet and Clank - Creature

Thinking about having more organic projects in the portfolio I decided to make this character.
It is based on a concept from the game Ratchet & Clank, made by the Creaturebox studio.

I used Zbrush, Blender and Substance Painter to develop this project and some add-ons to help with the process, such as UV Pack Master and Textools.

Danilo, the texture looks so good, and the topology it’s very clean, how did you do the texturing of the “antennas”? was it in substance?

Hello Simozarich, the texturing was all done in Substance Painter. The antennas have a light mask that generates transparency, where you see these luminous spheres in red.

oh nice, i will try that on a model that im working on, tha light mask was made with nodes?

It can be done in photoshop or directly in Substance Painter using an opacity channel. This one I did directly on the Substance Painter and the internal spheres are with emissive material from Blender.
