raytraced indirect lighting

I am just wondering how I force blender to do this, it seems it only allows it in approximate setting but that seems to cause light to bleed through some objects. I know if I export to Luxrender I can have a mesh make light and be raytraced but for quick previews of things I was hoping Blender would raytrace mesh based sources too.

Raytraced indirect lighting was removed from the Blender some time ago, it never made it into the final release. IIRC, there are still some builds floating about with it, but they are all old versions of 2.5.
