I’ve seen posts that have had “read the manual” as the answer to somebody’s question and always thought that it was just out of lazyness or that they were just being rude, but…
I was looking all through the forum, trying to find a way to punch a hole in a mesh. There were many different techniques that worked, but I wanted to do the “cookie cutter” approach with boleens so I could cut a very elaborate hole. And guess what, I found the answer, right there in the manual. Boleens DO work, what matters is the order in which you select the two meshes. If you want to cut a hole, first select the mesh that you want to cut a hole in, then select the “cookie cutter” mesh. It has to be in that order. I never would have learned that had I not looked in the manual. So I would suggest next time you are stuck, check the manual first. Hope this helps and saves all of you from some frustration.
