Built in 1908 atop Mt. Penn in Reading, Pennsylvania as part of a resort that never came to be. The Reading Pagoda is an icon of the city which is the county seat of Berks.
I have wanted to create this pagoda in 3D for some time as I can see it from my home and have visited many times. I think it turned out well enough to do it justice I will be creating more Berks County landmarks in this diorama style as time permits.
All primary asset models and materials were made in Blender 3.0. I used Botaniq for the trees and grass. The golden fish are modified versions of an asset from Sketchfab. Compositing was a mix on Blenderโs compositor and Krita.
The below images were kind of an after thought. Everything was created with the idea that the camera would never actually be that close!
