in 2.49 press F9, go into edit mode and open the texture face panel, select Text in the object properties.
in 2.5 go into object data in edit mode, and game mode. select Text in the object properties.
hmm that doesn’t work on mine, i have followed the tutorial in tutorials for blender website, i have even downloaded the example(which works even though it was made in 2.49), and mine still doesn’t work, all it shows is one @ for every character that i enter into my Text prop
Where did you get the font texture you are using? Did you attempt to modify it? There should be some rows of white dots at the top of the texture. These dots tell Blender where each letter glyph is located, how large the letter is, etc. If the dots are not left intact, then you will only see the @ symbol.
If you .blend file is small enough, you should be able to attach it to your post. Click the “Go Advanced” button when writing your reply, and add an attachment.
