Below is render I recently completed. I am going for a realistic look and I feel I got close but something is missing any tips? (I used chromatic aberration and some film grain)
One thing that isn’t helping with realism is the depth-of-field you’ve used. You’ve gone with a wide shot, but also chosen a depth that wouldn’t normally happen with such a shot. It ends up looking artificial.
Other effects like CA and film grain; suffice to say that film grain is almost not a thing any longer, as film has become rather rare. CA is also something that is usually avoided by a photographer, and in a 3D still it usually presents as “ok, that sort of makes everything look faked.”
Thanks for the tips. Yeah that makes sense, the depth of field is a bit much for a wide shot.
The framing is a bit odd. I would lower the camera and level it so that you don’t look from above. And of course all flowers should be visible. Other then that it looks nice.
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
