Realtime manipulation broken in macOS?

I bought an add-on called Scatterflow which uses physics to spawn objects. Some of the tools operate in real-time while the simulation is running, allowing you to throw objects where you’d like, but I have a horrible feeling this doesn’t actually work in macOS. For example, if just drop some objects onto a plane using physics and hit the Space bar, you can’t then manipulate the plane as I’ve seen in YouTube videos. There’s no MSR gizmo or anything, despite activating the ‘Animated’ checkbox. Am I missing something or is this just not working in Blender 4.5 macOS? Thanks!

Hi,

I don’t know that much about this add-on, but here’s a few tips you should try at first imo:

  1. Make sure you’re running the latest version of this add-on;
  2. Is your Mac device based on the Apple M-chips series? If so, try installing the latest Blender release, which is currently 4.5.1. LTS, if you have not done so yet;
  3. If none of these methods above work for you, try contacting the add-on developers and provide them with full details about your problem.

Hope that helps,
Cheers

Hi. I’m on latest add-on and Blender 4.5.1. I figured one part out – I need Drag to be set to Active Tool rather than Select Box. That fixes the realtime interaction during simulation. However it’s still not spawning properly, so need to investigate further.
