the bge doesnt even have “next gen” object management, logic and culling (wich are more escencial than any new rendering technique) and you are asking for realtime radiosity?
I agree with you, cyborg_ar that the BGE needs “next gen” object management and such before it needs real-time radiosity, but there’s no need to sound so crabby.
Kakachiex: You probably know this if you are looking at real-time radiosity, but there is a feature to bake the radiosity into a UV map which you can use as a texture in the game. It works well for stationary objects and scenery.
Wow, really? Sounds exciting, I look forward to seeing your work on this matter. Will you start coding right away, or next week sometime? When can we expect to see results?

Speaking seriously: here’s a big difference between open source software and closed-source software. In commercial software, the developers are working hard to keep on top of the game, and supply the features their users want, so that they can keep ahead of their competition. Open-source software is not part of the market system, it is created and maintained by volunteer programmers who do what they want and are not subject to the whims of the end-users. Please don’t demand new features, just be thankful for what you have and file bug reports.
