recast and detour updates

A brief for post here as i am on my phone. The addition of the recast and and detour library was something unprecedented in magnitude. It has enabled an efficient form of pathfinding (professional efficient than pure python.) - however I follow mikko (the developer) on twitter, and i am aware that he is still working work on the library. the library has many useful additiond like random navmesh points and navmesh information.
what this makes me realise is this:in nearly every element of the game engine, which you can extend the functionality of a feature by using python attributes and methods, and but with the navmesh you only have basic path calculation support. so, here are my questions ;

  1. can we get some python bindings to the core of the recast library?
  2. can we get an update cycle in line with mikko’s trunk
