Recent Work, "CHTHONIC Rhythm Crusher"

This is my recent work that using Blender,

All the 3D parts are done in Blender,
I use Destruction addon to do ground fracturing,
then use “Parent to Mesh” addon to bind them to mesh.
And Dynamic Paint to control the cracking effect.
Improved Smoke(GSOC 2012),
Particle to emit rock,
Rendered by Cycles and BI, and composite every 3D cut in Blender.
Finally, Editing and color adjustment are done in After Effects.

The client is our company and the black metal band “Chthonic” from Taiwan,
This is a teaser of a project that will be unvieled during the Chthonic’s concert.

  1. Who else were involved in this project?

We use Chthonic’s old MV in the beginning.

Two people were involved in this video,
The main idea of this video was come from my colleague and I.
And then I did all the technical works by myself,
including modeling, animation, VFX, compositing, and editing in about 2 weeks.
