Red balls on stairs

My first full-length video using Blender Tomato Branch match moving.

There are some mistakes because I only created an approximate model for the stairwell. Lighting isn’t quite correct at the end, but I’m not quite sure how to fix it.

Pretty good job overall. Some shadows on the walls would help sell it better.

Pretty good, although my only real complaint is that I think theres TOO many red balls. It’s really hard to detect the accuracy scene of the match since theres so many to keep track of, considering the speed of each ball. The lighting isnt bad overalll, can’t wait to see the shadow pass.

its hard to tell if its a good track

Actually, you can tell it’s quite a good track (apart from me saying so): if it badly tracked then the occlusion of the balls by the balusters of the stairs would be incorrect (and the more balls there are the more likely you are to see problems such as balls appearing to be cut in half between the gaps, balls half appearing in front of balusters, etc). Remember, it’s what you can’t see (the model balusters and rail) that are the important parts in this video. It required good tracking to get it right - there is quite a bit of movement in the geometry and this was a more demanding setup than the other things I’ve tracked.

There are some mistakes towards the end but I consider I did fairly well considering this is only my third match moving attempt, I’ve never shot video until 2 weeks ago, and I’ve only been using Blender for a month or two (with no previous 3D modelling experience).
