Red Rupee from Legend of Zelda Series

It isn’t the best Blended render in the world, but I think it’s pretty good considering I’ve only been using Blender for about 2 days.

I’m going to try and make Outset Island in Wind Waker as a walk around. I am asking anybody who wants to help. {-0

Next time, try to set the jpeg quality a bit higher. You have a lot of artifacts.

about the image itself. Good start in blender. To make it more emerald-ish you could make it transparant by lowering the “Alpha” value in the material buttons and pushing the “Ztransp” button in the same place.

I tryed.
Thanks for the tip. I had no idea how to make it tracsparent. I appresheate (however you spell it) it.

That looks great! Have fun making Outset. That is not going to be a small task!

Remove the bumpy texture, bevel it a small amount, and it will be good.

Thanks!

Havent used bevel before, i’ll look it up.

Here’s the classic version of a rupee.

Laa!

The bevel option didn’t look very good, well, to me, atleast.

The reason for the bump map is because I wanted to know what it would look like more realistic.

i took a quick shot at making one with caustics.

didnt come out quite as i wanted(guess thats what i get for spending 5 minutes on it…)

considering our differing experience levels with blender, i’s have to say you got more out of your experience. (all my first renders were simple attempts at metal spheres…)

Woah, cool.
