For my first project using cycles, I made a video. I used Paint.NET to make all my textures, Blender for the modeling and animation and CSound to make the music:

It’s a bit (very) rough around the edges. I wasn’t exactly going for super-realism. This project actually started as my second BGE game. (You can still get the first - my first Blender project entirely - one here: Win64 only.) It became an animation when I tried out Unity and got attached to particle effects, then found out I couldn’t use them in the BGE.
