Reduce Opacity of the Model for Blueprints

I’m pretty new to Blender and I’m starting my first model.
I’d like to know how I can reduce the opacity of my model, so I can see the blueprints!
I’ve searched the forum a bit but since the word “model” is in every thread it’s kinda hard!
If you have any tips fell free to share!

there might be a better way, but i press z for wireframme

Thanks!

The background image defaults to “Blend: 0.50”. This sets the transparency of the background image. To make the image brighter, reduce the blend number. This won’t let you see through a non-wireframe model, but helps sometimes when the mesh gets dense.

You can change the color and transparancy of selected and unselected faces in the ui options too, which could be useful.
