Reflecting halo particles?


How do you get halo particles reflect on surfaces?

use an environment map instead of ray reflection
[there are probably other tuts, like in the blender documentation on]

or, don’t use halos, use actual planes with a blend texture.

you have to use environment mapping. do a search for a thread called ‘env mapping a plane’.
<edit> btw, if youre using spherical mapping, it’s much easier. you don’t have to do use the empty.
