I want to know if the perspective distortion when you zoom in can be changed, because I’am trying to sculpt a face using a reference image from 3d.sk that is at a certain distance from the camera and sometimes I need to zoom in the reference to see better, when I zoom in closer to the model in Blender to sculpt with more precision the perspective changes and I lose my landmarks, in Zbrush you can zoom in and the perspective won’t change.
you can change the focal length in the N-Panel

Don’t zoom the camera; zoom the view ! ( mousewheel)
Thank you for the reply but that is not it, if you set the perspective to 110 for example, when you zoom in on the model it starts to gradualy decrease the value of your perspective, if you zoom in really close it is as if the focal length is about 30 mm despite the value set in the view tab, I know cameras are suposed to work this way, but in Zbrush no matter how much you zoom in the perspective stays the same.
Oh, I rather thought of changing that value instead of zooming (which is admittedly not very convenient)
So Okidoki’s solution might be better. (lock cam to view to orbit, unlock to zoom the view or change the focal length in the camera context menu)
This addon links camera position to focal length, dynamically.
What you might be looking for is what’s referred to as a “Dolly Zoom.” As the camera moves toward the subject, the lens length changes as well.
Also, bear in mind that the shot does not have to be continuous. You can shoot two (or several) shots, and then “cut” between them as you assemble your final movie. For example, you can use a “match cut” or a “jump cut.” (Unless you actually want [all or part of …] that distortion, for artistic effect.)
