Is it possible to remap a key to another? I use Blender primarily on my laptop, yet, I don’t have a numeric keypad. I know there’s options in the menus to change views, etc, but I can’t use + and - to change some things…the + and - on the normal keyboard (-_ and +=) don’t work.
I’m still new to Blender myself, so I don’t really know of any way to remap keys, but depending on your laptop, there is probably a way to emulate a numeric keypad. For example, on mine, when you hold the Fn key down you can use the right half of the keyboard as a numeric keypad. (The markings for the numeric keypad keys are printed the same color as the Fn key.)
in the info buttons (somewhere) there is an option: emulate numpad
will make the number keys act as numpad keys
(means you have to click on layers though)
I haven’t even tried using layers yet…thanks for the tips!
