Remesh Modifier > Voxel Setting (How to get it working?)

I am trying to use the Remesh Modifier with the Voxels Setting.

I downloaded the Blender 2.81 Beta (Mac) but the voxel option is not visible. What am I doing wrong?

That one is not a modifier, but a destructive operation accessible via object data in object mode:

In sculpt mode, it should be also available in the 3D view header.

Stan, Hi thanks for the quick reply. I just want to make sure we’re talking about the same thing. I want the voxel setting in the Remesh Modifier like in this video. Is that the same one as you’re speaking of?

I think it is not enabled, it might be 2.82 thing.

I would recommend using 2.82 since they made major fix to it and i am using it on a regular basis without any issue!

kkar and polynut. thanks for the tip!

I went to the experimental page but don’t see 2.82 for Mac. Can someone please tell me if I am just losing it or is 2.82 not available for Mac yet?

Here you go ; https://builder.blender.org/download/

Don’t forget to click on Mac OS

polynut. I saw that link but didn’t realize it was the latest build. Thanks

Ok, downloaded 2.82 Build and I don’t see the Voxel Option in the Remesh Modifier like in the image and video above. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. :frowning:

Found it. Thanks everyone for your help!

Anyone have a workflow and how this voxel Remesh can be useful? Just curious how you use it!
Also I though you could edit the joined objects non-destructively like in the video above but it looks like you can’t after you select “Voxel Remesh” button. Hmmm.

Perhaps a video-like Voxel Remesh modifier is discussed here.

To bring it back up, the voxel remesh button is greyed out. Any reason why and how to fix it?

Oh! sorry just found I left Dyntopo, it is required to be disabled
