remove doubles broken?

Hi
I can’t remove doubles in Blender 2.49! Bug?
Michael

Can you give a little more info. I can remove doubles in 2.49a

can’t see any a anywhere but built on: 29-5-2009 with Python 2.5.2 on Vista64. But I’m quite sure to have downloaded the 32bit version at that time.

maybe the “doubles” in your mesh are beyond the threshold setting…

could happen if you’re working on an unusally sized or scaled scene i guess, or if you accidentally changed the values…

if you look in the buttons window “mesh” buttons in edit mode there should be a panel called Mesh Tools

to the right of the “rem doubles” button are two fields: “limit” and “threshold”… mine are 0.001 and 0.01 respectively…

if yours are set to that try raising the values…

thanks but no luck. I’m using remove doubles for very long…any other ideas?

post the mesh that wont work. though a quick test is apply scale/rotation (Ctrl+A) in object mode then try.

Thanks now after ctrl+a it works…strange.

nah, your object was probably scaled small so the mesh appeared regular size, but the mesh itself was still large and the vertex distance above teh threshold for remove doubles…

applying the scale fixes it.

I had the same issue a week or two ago when I imported some objects from maya and they came in 100 times too big…
