hi, starting my blender journey… i have a model of a zombie playing a violin, i would like to remove the head (to put a key in for future 3d printing) the only problem i have it that its joined at the neck and the violin… i’ve tried to boolean a plane across the neck and another where the violin touched the chin but cant get the model to seperate…
Welcome!
Just select all the faces you want to separate in edit mode, press p, and choose by selection.
Thats a load of faces to select!!! i’ll give it a go tho…
Thanks
Ohh… i forgot my usual:
Welcome
…
![]()
That worked great!! Thankyou…
One small problem, its left a gaping hole in both the parts!!
Use boolean, with manifold option
You can select the edges of the holes and press f to fill them with a face. Selecting the edges of the holes should be easy in edit mode, go to select menu, select all by trait, non manifold. If it selects other areas too you can just deselect them by holding ctrl when box selecting with the selection tool.
