I’m modelling a human body, what i wanna do is to make the mirrored mesh that comes from modifier to actuall make them as one complete mesh. It is because ehen i try to export it to ogre, it only exports half of the body. any help is greatly appreciated
you need to press apply. now for some oddball reason the middle vertiesies may need to be connected. blender wont do that on its own sometimes
Make sure do clipping is on so the verticies that are in the middle are merged, you should make sure of this before getting too deep into the model so you don’t have to manually merge them later on. Then while in object mode, apply the modifier. That’s it.
In order to line up the verticies on the middle line so they merge, select that edge loop and hit s (x or y depending on which axis you would like to line up) then 0, then you should have no problems with merging
thanks for the great people who replies quickly,. I still can’t make it to work, i’m new to blender and don’t know much, do clipping is enabled, and im sure that vertices on center are acting as one, i really don’t know whenever i exported it, the other half is gone. again thanks for all the help!
Like we mentioned above. The modifier will not create a mesh on the other side unless you apply it to the object by pressing the apply button in the modifier box next to the copy button. This will remove the modifier and turn the mirrored half into geometry that is part of the object. Unless you do this, you will only export half of the mesh.
Now i get it,! cheers! thanks!
No problem.
thanks to you guys, i just walk through the same issue.
