removing a face from UV editor

ok so I adding some textures, and a stray face got added by mistake, and can’t figure out how to remove that one single one! It shouldn’t be so difficult to figure out… please help!

I think you might need to pin all the UV coordinates other than those making up that face you want to remove, then re-unwrap that portion of the mesh after you’ve removed that face from the mesh in the 3D view. The UV editor should update to match, then.
