Renaming Bone Problem

So i have a blender file that has about 6 different animations on my main model.
Here comes the problem. Whenever i change the names of the the individual bones it deletes all the bones that were renamed from all of the other animations but the animation I’m on.

I am wondering if there is a way to change bone names once you have a few animations done without it deleting all of my previous work.

First off, animation is key framed using bone name. That is the identifier between them. If you change the bone name after key frame is made, you lost the connection between the key frame and bone.
