I have a sculpt which crashes on rendering when at multires level 6 but succeeds at multires level 5. What should I be looking at to get around this?
When rendering at multires level 5 it consumes 1.3GB of RAM
When rendering at multires level 6 it slowly consumes 2.3 GB of RAM (including swap) before eventually crashing.
I have approx 1.3GB of physical ram in the computer. Will more physical RAM be enough to overcome this or do I also need to go to a 64bit OS.
I have posted the .blend below (is 21MB) if someone wants to have a go at it for me. Would prefer a Win7 based OS as my upgrade would likely have that on it if required.
