Render direclty when modeling

Hello there.
I have a small problem:
I make characters with MakeHuman and then edit them in Blender.
But i never see the real textures.
This is wat happens:
I change the color from diversuit in Makehuman to Black.
But in blender it apears in Purple!
Then i export it and import it into blender(.HMX)
But the textures dont appear as they are supposed to be!

have you given the model a material, and added the image files as texture channels mapped to UV?
