Am having problems with my render. I have a normal map on a object but white spots appear and also triangles and am not sure how to get rid of them. Advice would be appreciated.
What you see there are wrong normals - this can either be caused by the texture or the geometry.
- Check the geometry of your model: make sure that all face-normals are pointing outwards (in most cases “flip normals” in edit mode solves such problems)
- Check your UV-map. Possibly something with your UV-unwrapping got messy
- Check your material setup (did you insert a normal map node, is the wiring correct…)
