Quite a few people here have suggested using the console to render as its generally a bit quicker and less prone to crashing. In some cases - in mine I have 100,000 hi poly instances and the UI just crashes out if I try to render it.
I couldn’t be bothered to keep typing out the commands to render from the console, so I created this super simple addon. The only requirement, is the scene has to be saved prior to rendering. That includes anytime you make changes as it uses the last saved blend file.
