render preview

I am still not able to get a render preview window in the new version. I had hoped that it would be an improved version. Am I missing something? It is important to have a good real time render window in order to properly map textures…Texture mapping is just so difficult with Blender and I need to see what I am making!

Yeah, I have the same problem and searched for this all over and got no where. Aparently, there is no Render Preview window as in 2.49, via SHIFT+P in the 3D View. Maybe it is being improved for later implementation in this series…
