I was wondering if there is a way to store a render to make a comparison with a new one with Cycles ?
In Redshift for example, you can take snapshots of renders in the IPR, in Octane you can stored the render buffer for a comparison. Or simply in Cinema 4D, the picture viewer stores all the rendered images of the session.
I didn’t find information on it, I’m new to Blender sorry if it’s obvious but I couldn’t find a way to do it !
Very basic Blender all versions…render and at top right click on “Slots” and change to next number each new render. Think your should have “Pack files in blend” checked in preferences too. seems it is 12 slots never checked to see if you can add more.
high res renders will make your blend file large. my way is to save renders as images to folder where I keep the blend
@bachnoral Thanks for the answer ! Wish there was a simpler “snapshot” way to very quickly compare a setting change but that will work. And thanks for the tip, noted !
