Rendered 3D view vs actual render

For some reason, the rendered view is very different from the view I get when using ‘rendered’ in the 3D view. I’m using the Cycles renderer. The problem only seems to exist for 1 of the materials (the blue-ish outline of the letters) and not for the other (the yellow-ish inside of the letters look fine). I’m using practically the same setup for both materials, using color, specular, occlusion and normal maps.

Any clues as to what is going on? TIA!

There’s a ton of objects set to being invisible for the viewport (eye symbol), but not for the render (camera symbol). You might want to investigate that.

We can’t do that for you, as you forgot to supply an example .blend file for review.
