Rendered image is not in output dir

I tried setting the output location of the render image but nothing is in there when I render.

any ideas?

If you read the tooltip for the output field you’ll see that this location is for rendered animations.

When you render a still image either save it using the Image / Save as Image menu in the render window or press F3
