ok, simply put i made a character, i made some clothes for my character, and i made the clothes in to a soft body.
The character uses Material Nodes for the colour of the skin, and all the clothes are just normal materials using textures, however i am trying to test the clothing to make sure it doesnt rip or do anything wierd, so i make changes and render out 50 frames, where i move the leg around.
This takes like over an hour just to render all these frames so i was wondering is there a quicker way to render so i can carry on my tests
disable raytracing in the render tab. (it disables everything that takes long to calculate with one button =) including octree filling)
set the rendersize to 25% or 50%
disable the nodes for testrenders.
You don´t need all those to preview movement and clipping.
Disabling OSA would further decrease render times.
Also, I’m pretty sure that baking the softbody/ cloth sim would be a lot faster than rendering. That way you could see the clothing behave from within the viewport.
