Is there anyone using Zbrush or Mudbox to generate displacement maps?
Will the renderer support higher levels of displacements? I’ve tried subd levels of 5-6 using the modifier, and my computer seems to freeze (ie takes forever) to render.
I see other 3D packages able to render detailed meshes in seconds, where as Blender takes minutes and not half as detailed.
I hope displacement/micro poly rendering will get some programming time in the next blender release.
