So I am having a problem rendering my image. I created a house and placed a snowman inside of it. I added various lights etc. When I went to render the image however, all it showed was the starry background I inserted.
I’ve been playing with this for 2 days now and I’m not sure what to do
next. No matter where I angle the camera (it’s constrained to the house) it
never shows ANY of my objects in the rendering, just the stars!
Is there anything anyone can think of that might solve this? Maybe I have
some setting checked off accidentally? I opened a new blender file and
rendered the default cube and it worked no problem–camera and lights. So the
problem is clearly with MY specific Blender file.
You may have made another object into the “camera” by pressing CTR-NUMPAD-0. Either select the real camera and press CTR-NUMPAD-0 or add another camera and make it active (CTR-NUMPAD-0). Blender 2.43rc2 has a menu item under the View/Cameras menu to do this.
If that doesn’ work check that you have all layers turned on, and that in the Scene/Render Buttons/Render Layer Panel that all the “layer buttons” are enabled both in the Scene: and Layer: sections (20 buttons in each section).
If it still doesn’t work, post the .blend file to somewhere like 4shared.com.
